The deal, in six clauses

What the service is
FreeSign lets anyone send a PDF for electronic signature and receive it back with an audit trail. It is free, funded by advertising, and offered without an account. Using it means accepting these terms.
What we do not promise
We are not a law firm and this is not legal advice. FreeSign produces a simple electronic signature under eIDAS — recognised for everyday agreements in the EU, but not the advanced or qualified signature that property deeds, some family-law documents and certain public filings require. Deciding whether a simple signature suits your document is your call.
Your side of it
You confirm you may lawfully upload the document and send it to the address you typed. No illegal content, no malware, no phishing, no bulk sending to people who did not expect it, and no attempt to break or overload the service. Documents cap at 10 MB; fair-use limits apply to volume, and we may throttle or block abuse without notice.
Deletion is not optional
Every document and audit trail is deleted 5 days after the request is created. Download and store your own copy — we cannot recover a deleted file, and we are not your archive.
Liability
The service is provided as is, without warranty of uninterrupted availability. As FreeSign is free of charge, our liability is limited to what Danish law does not allow us to exclude — in particular we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or lost documents. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Changes
We may change these terms; the version and date at the top always say which text applies. Material changes are announced on this page for 30 days before taking effect. If we ever shut the service down we will say so at least 60 days ahead.
